Claudio has already developed a keen interest in sports, nutrition and spirituality during his time at university, but it was during a travel experience in Central America where he encountered Yoga for the first time.
Claudio experienced his very first yoga class in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, and soon after decided to volunteer at a Yoga retreat on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua.
John, the owner of the retreat, led the free daily yoga classes each morning, incorporating strength, balance and focus as well as anecdotes of eastern philosophy and helped to strengthen Claudio’s keen interest in the subject.
Claudio took advantage of partaking in additional Yoga classes along his travel throughout Central America whenever they were offered, and after returning home from his travel, continued his practice on his own, with the help of a variety of courses and readings which he encountered online.
When the online courses and readings did not satisfy Claudio’s need to grow his personal practice further, he decided to travel to yoga’s country of origin, India, to partake in a month-long 200-hour intensive Yoga Teacher Training in southern Goa.
During the training, Claudio gained tremendous practical and theoretical knowledge of the art and science of yoga, including its history, philosophy, the numerous paths and styles of yoga as well as varied meditation practices.
After obtaining his official certification as a multi-style yoga and meditation instructor from Kashish Yoga School in corporation with Yoga Alliance USA, Claudio spent a month discovering the Indian subcontinent, and immediately found opportunities to gain first teaching experiences whilst working at well-known hotels and spas in Goa and the northern Himalayan region.
Upon returning from his trip to India, Claudio soon started to organize daily Hatha and Yin Yoga classes at his winter residence in Altos, Paraguay, teaching various styles of yoga in English, German and Spanish, depending on the student body.
Between August and November of 2018, Claudio worked as a yoga and meditation teacher in the Sierra Nevada of Columbia, where he taught daily Hatha Yoga classes to a body of international travelers at a popular hotel, in between the mountainous jungle and the Caribbean Sea.
During the summer months between April and September each year, Claudio returns to the French Riviera and offers private and group yoga classes on Hatha and Yin Yoga, Yogic philosophy and meditation in a uniquely beautiful outdoor setting at Jardin des Douaniers in Cap d‘Ail overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
At the time, he continues working on the publication of an informative book on the entirety of the science of yoga to be available in English, German, Spanish and French soon.
